Doncaster Stories has created a resource for local families to help keep you entertained and learning during lockdown.
101 things to do indoors is packed full of fun, easy, and free literacy-themed activities that can all be completed from the safety of home. The activities are from a diverse range of authors and creators so there's something for everyone. Activities include resources fromWords for Life as well as featuring some tailored content especially made for Doncaster.
To make things that bit easier, the resource is broken down into seven categories; making, writing, reading, listening, watching, researching, and puzzles & challenges.
The resource is inspired by a similar one made by Visit Doncaster (100 THiNGS before you're 11 ) which encourages children to go on adventures in and around Doncaster. Many of the activities and attractions on the Visit Doncaster list remain closed due to COVID-19 so this version is a perfect alternative.
We're asking families to send us pictures of themselves completing the activities to doncasterstories@literacytrust.org.uk and we'll share highlights on our Facebook page to inspire other families to get involved.
