Were you caught out by our cricket teaser?
Here are our two solutions:
- Batsman 1 hits a 6 first ball. He is then run out second ball at the non-striker’s end and is out for 100. Batsman 2 then hits a six off the third and final ball to finish on 100 not out and win the game.
- Batsman 1 hits a 4 first ball. He then scores 2 runs second ball but is run out going for the third run so is out for 100. Batsman 2 then hits a six off the third and final ball to finish on 100 not out and win the game.
Many children in the UK often find themselves stumped for words too. Last year, a third of children left primary school unable to read properly. At the National Literacy Trust, we work with schools, parents and politicians to change this. But we rely on your support to continue our work.
Do you remember your favourite book growing up? A donation of just £10 could help us give a book to a child in a deprived area of the UK – often the first they will have ever owned.
