We've got lots of exciting events and launches going on throughout 2018 to celebrate our 25th anniversary, and as part of our celebrations we're launching a brand-new podcast series.
The new series will feature well-known authors and literary figures talking about all things books, reading and literacy. Our first episode features Dermot O’Leary, broadcaster and author of Toto the Ninja Cat and the Great Snake Escape. He chatted to our Director Jonathan about his books, his love of libraries, how he motivates himself to write, his reading habits as a child and more.
Listen to Dermot's interview using the player below, or read some transcripts of the interview on our blog.
“Life’s so busy, I don’t think it matters if you’re eight or 80 - the world just moves so fast nowadays. I think the most important thing is to give yourself time to read.”
Dermot O’Leary
“Let your imagination run wild. Even if the only people who are going to read this book are your parents or grandparents, your brothers or sisters, maybe a couple of friends at school – don’t be shy about it! Just go for it.”
Dermot O’Leary
