Golden tokens have been hidden all over Doncaster for children to find and exchange for a free Roald Dahl book. Tokens have been hidden by our local partners including Doncaster Family Hubs and local GP surgeries, so keep your eyes peeled!
The golden token scheme is part of the launch of Doncaster Stories, a campaign to boost literacy levels across the town. We are using the imitative to give away 20,000 books across Doncaster, and to encourage young people to visit their local library.
Children who own a book are 15 times more likely to read above the expected level for their age, so this is a great opportunity to get Doncaster's children off to a flying start in life.
Once you've found your token please exchange it at any of the participating libraries:

- Wheatley Community Library, Parkway South, Doncaster DN2 4JS, open Tuesday 1.30pm - 4.30pm and Thursday-Saturday 10am-12pm
- Mexborough Library, John St, Mexborough, Doncaster S64 9HS, open Monday-Friday 8.40am - 5pm & Saturdays 8.40pm - 1pm
