What is the Where’s Wally? Weekender?
For 2021, we are going nationwide and holding the very first Where’s Wally? virtual run. We are asking you to don the classic red and white stripes and run, walk or jog your own 1k, 5k or 10k route. Sign up here.
When and where can I take part in the Where’s Wally? Weekender?
The Where’s Wally? Weekender is taking place over the weekend of 20-21 March 2021. It is a virtual run, so you can take part anywhere and anytime over the weekend – it is up to you! You can plan your own 1k, 5k or 10k route and get running.
I’m not available during the weekend of 20-21 March, but I would still like to take part. Is this possible?
Of course - you can take part anytime! Just let our team know when you are planning on completing your run, and we will make sure you have everything you need.
Who can take part?
Everyone! Whether you are a seasoned runner, wanting to take on a new challenge, or fancy a fun walk with friends, we would love for you to take part in the Where’s Wally? Weekender!
You can choose whether you run or walk (or a bit of both) and take on the challenge your own way.
How do I sign up?
Visit our website to sign up. Places cost £20, and registration includes a Where’s Wally? costume to run in and a collectible medal and virtual goody bag when you have completed your route.
How do I get my Where’s Wally? costume?
Once you sign up, our team will post your costume to you in plenty of time for your run, walk or jog. If you have any questions about the arrival of your costume, please get in touch with our team.
Can we take part as a family or team?
Yes, the Where’s Wally? Weeknder is a great team challenge! Spread the word and get your friends and family involved and create a virtual team and run apart or together, the choice is yours.
Is there a fundraising target?
We are encouraging all our runners to raise as much as possible, and everyone who raises at least £50 will be entered into a draw to win some fantastic prizes.
What will my fundraising go towards?
As a charity that exists to change the lives of the UK’s most disadvantaged children, there has never been a more important time for our work. Every penny raised will help support the literacy and learning of children across the UK, giving them a route out of poverty, changing their life story.
Do you have any tips to help with my fundraising?
Visit our Where’s Wally? fundraising how to page, which has plenty of hints, tips and ideas to help you smash your target.
How will the National Literacy Trust know when I have completed my run?
All you need to do is send our team a photo of you at the end of your run, or a photo of your exercise tracker showing your route. We will then send you your collectible medal and virtual goody bag.
