Luckley House School's fundraising fair

LHS fair

On 13 November, Head of English, Darshan Bahbra, and her colleagues at Luckley House School organised an amazing school fair in aid of the National Literacy Trust. They had a variety of stalls including a tombola, a lucky dip, a craft table and a cake sale.

Not only that, but they also set up a "Read it, Swap it" stall, simultaneously promoting the importance of literacy and sustainability. Students and staff donated books in the week running up to the event, which they exchanged for a token that they could use to "buy" a "new" book from the stall. This was very successful and everyone involved ended up with some great new reads!

Book Swap LHS

As a result of this feat of creativity and organisation, Luckley House School have raised nearly £1000 for the National Literacy Trust! This is an incredible amount of money that provides a crucial contribution towards our mission to change people's lives through literacy.

Are you inspired by Luckley House School's fundraising efforts? Why not organise a fundraising fair at your school! You can even be creative and add in some stall ideas of your own.
