Popular children’s book characters Where’s Wally? and Maisy Mouse were at London’s King’s Cross railway station on Monday 22 October to celebrate our partnership with Grand Central Rail, who we've been working with since 2015 to give disadvantaged children memorable experiences that will inspire them to read and write.

Children and families coming through the station got the chance to meet the exciting book characters and take home some brand new sticker books and sticker sheets, courtesy of Walker Books. Families, commuters and visitors to the city also received free cupcakes, sweets, balloons and bottles of water.

2018 marks our 25th anniversary, and members of the public will be able to make a small donation on the day or text NLTS25 £10 to 70070 to donate £10 to celebrate and to help us continue our vital work to change children's life stories through literacy.

We had a really busy, fun day at King's Cross and raised over £500. Thank you to everybody who came by and donated!
