We’re encouraging all Hastings schools to get involved in Harry Potter Book Night by running your own event in school on or around Thursday 24 June!

To help you celebrate, we’re offering Hastings schools 30 free books from the Harry Potter universe if you hold your own event. Books are kindly donated by Bloomsbury Publishing.

Your event could take place at breakfast clubs before school, during lessons, breaks or at after-school clubs. Dressing up is always encouraged but you can run it however you like!

You could do a readathon as part of your English classes, play Quidditch in PE, set up your own Diagon Alley (this year’s theme!) in your corridors, and play magical games at break times.

You could encourage your pupils to plan and decorate your event, hold competitions and challenges with your free books as prizes, and hold a sorting ceremony in assembly.

Anything goes as long as you solemnly swear you’re up to no good!

We’d love to see and hear how your event goes. Send us your pictures and let us know what you and your pupils get up to by email and on social media!
