We asked residents on the North Yorkshire Coast to tell us their favourite children's books. People aged three to 78 submitted their favourite titles, with Liz Pichon, Stephen King and Michael Morpurgo emerging as firm favourites across all ages.
100 Reads provides a great starting point for recommendations for reluctant readers - or for parents, grandparents and community volunteers looking to share a story with a child. The books have been ordered by recommended reading age, but this is only intended to be used as a guide - children are encouraged to try any book they feel comfortable reading.
