This week, we're asking children to write a book review of one of Doncaster's most popular children's books.
Doncaster 100 Reads is a list of the town's favourite books, as voted for by over 2,000 primary school children. We've broken up the list into four age categories to help children pick a book (first stories: 0-6, young readers: 7+, confident readers: 10-11, and independent readers: age 12+). The list takes the form of a height chart so that children can choose a new book as they grow.
For this challenge, children have to select one of books on the list and write a review about it - What did you like about the plot? Could it be improved at all? Who was your favourite character? Who would you recommend this book to?
The writer of the winning book review will be sent a height chart to put up at home!
This competition is now closed but please don't let that stop you from writing a book review - we'd love to see them. Have a look below at some of the entries for inspiration.
