Doncaster Stories has compiled a new resource for local families to help keep their brains active during the summer months.
101 things to do indoors is packed full of fun, easy, and free literacy-themed activities that can all be completed during lockdown. The activities are from a diverse range of authors and creators so there's something for everyone. We've lifted quality ideas resources from Family Zone as well as featuring some tailored content especially made for Doncaster.
To make things that bit easier, the resource is broken down into seven categories; making, writing, reading, listening, watching, researching, and puzzles & challenges.
The resource is inspired by a similar one made by Visit Doncaster (100 THiNGS before you're 11 list) which encourages children to go on adventures in and around Doncaster. Many of the activities and attractions on the Visit Doncaster list remain closed due to COVID-19 so this new version is perfect for a Summer in lockdown.
We're asking families to send us pictures of themselves completing the activities to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll share highlights on our Facebook page to inspire other families to get involved.
