The London Marathon is a unique event that every keen runner wants to be a part of! With an average of 50,000 people running every year, it is an incredibly exciting day and one that you'll never forget!
How to sign up
We have a limited number of places in the 2027 London Marathon, so if you would like to sign up, please submit your email address and phone number below and we will respond with the application questions. We will confirm the successful applicants on Tuesday 2 June.
How we will support you
Our dedicated Events Team will support you on your fundraising and marathon training journey every step of the way. Each runner will receive:
- A National Literacy Trust branded running vest
- A fundraising pack containing lots of great fundraising tips and ideas
- Dedicated support from our Events team

How the money you raise will help
The money you'll raise if you choose to take on this challenge will help to transform the life stories of disadvantaged children in the UK.
On average, children from the poorest backgrounds start school with literacy skills which are 19 months behind their more privileged peers.
Children without these skills are held back at every stage of their lives. They are:
- Five times more likely to fail to meet the expected standards in English at age 11
- Four times more likely to struggle to read as adults
- Twice as likely to be unemployed aged 34
- Three times more likely to have mental health problems as adults.
But it doesn't have to be this way. By signing up to the London Marathon and raising £2,000 or more for the National Literacy Trust, you can help us stop the cycle of poverty and low literacy.
