Your generous donation could put a child’s very first book into their hands. For many children growing up in disadvantaged communities, owning a book is something they’ve never experienced. Their very first book, along with fun activities that build their literacy skills, can help change their life chances.

If you choose to donate a little bit more, you could give a child access to inspiring school programmes that will help them develop the reading, writing, speaking and listening skills that are vital for success at school. Alternatively, your donation could allow a child who has a tough start in life to choose and keep three new books gifted to them at inspirational reading and storytelling events.

This could help train a Literacy champion volunteer to give parents and carers with low levels of confidence the skills to help develop their child’s literacy, language and communication skills. Or a donation of £50 could help train an early years volunteer to support parents and carers to develop their children’s early language, communication and literacy skills.
