Mark the end of the year
As the end of the academic year approaches, we want to help pupils in KS3, 4 & 5 look back to celebrate their achievements, and look forward to set future goals. Making time for pupils to mark their milestones and think about their aspirations is important, especially when this time comes with many pressures and decisions to make. Using key literacy skills, this set of resources will help pupils to
- Develop and practice reflective thinking
- Celebrate personal and academic milestones
- Build emotional literacy
- Strengthen writing and communication skills
Please also explore our supplementary, pre-recorded workshop with poet and author, Sophia Thakur. During this workshop, Sophia guides pupils through reflective activities whilst encouraging them to practice their speaking and listening skills.
Using our resources
Our teacher resources have been created for KS3, and KS4/5. They can be used with or without viewing the Sophia Thakur workshop.
Each resource includes:
- A curated booklist with the same reflective and celebratory themes as the workshop and resources
- A selection of thoughtful writing and oracy activities with prompts and templates
These resources have been developed as part of our Words for Work communication and aspirations programme. Explore more of their work here.
