Working with Premier League Primary Stars, we run a host of live events, often including free supporting resources - plus a fantastic Footy & Booky Quiz to get children excited about literacy. Goal Getters: Discover your football dream job
The National Literacy Trust and the Premier League were live with authors Emma Juhasz (What Football Job Can You Do?) and Dan Freedman (50 ways into Football and Jamie Johnson) with TV host Kenzie Benali.
We joined the Premier League Primary Stars and the National Literacy Trust for a free, exciting online workshop that connected football and literacy—perfect for pupils dreaming of a future in football!
Mental Health Week live event with Dr Alex George
As part of the Premier League's Inside Matters campaign, which encourages supporters to check-in with their family and friends, the National Literacy Trust ran a live event with Dr Alex George, author and mental health ambassador to the government. The event, for pupils aged 9 to 11, took place on 17 May 2024 and was supported by a set of resources to support pupils' wellbeing. Resources can be found on the Premier League Primary Stars website.
The Great World Book Day Footy & Booky quiz 2024!
We were joined by footballers from across the Premier League, Women's Super League and the English Football League and Football School author Ben Lyttleton for our annual interactive and fun quiz guaranteed to get your pupils extra excited about reading.
This year our quiz was hosted by teacher Kit Brown and took place on World Book Day, 7 March 2024. The quiz featured two rounds of questions pitched by your footballing heroes and our writer pals.
The Premier League World Book Day challenge resource is still live!
Premier League Magazine Team, Live! with Jake Wilson from BBC Match of the Day Magazine and author Matt Oldfield.
On 20 December 2023, BBC Match of the Day magazine's, Jake Wilson and top footy author, Matt Oldfield, led a live workshop to guide pupils through writing their own article as if they were real footy journalists. They shared tips, tricks and secrets to help them create articles about their own favourite skills. We even had exclusive content from a Premier League and Welsh international player, Ben Davies!
