Further resources on cross-curricular literacy are available to National Literacy Trust members. If you are already a member you can access those resources here, or you can claim 25% off membership for attending this course by using the code HUMAN25 . As part of a whole-school improvement plan, this workshop will work well in combination with our other subject-specific modules currently in development, and soon to be integrated into our training programme. Email schools@literacytrust.org.uk for more information.

Our Literacy for Humanities workshop has been designed to help teachers meet the literacy demands of the humanities subjects. There is a focus on the role of vocabulary and academic language, and the journey from informal speech to formal writing.
