We’ve been developing our work with Burberry and Marcus Rashford on a new creative project by visiting children at Holmleigh School in Hackney, where Burberry has funded a fantastic new school library.
Working with an artist, children took part in a series of workshops, expressing their dreams through sketches. Now their artwork has been turned into a large mural showcased on Tottenham High Road, London.
This work is part of our Primary School Library Alliance founded with Penguin Random House.
We’re thrilled to have worked on this project with Burberry and The Face, enabling children from Holmleigh School to express themselves creatively through this fantastic mural, showcased for the local community to enjoy.
This builds on our work to make primary school libraries a place where children can read, imagine, create and escape into a whole new world.
We have even broader ambitions for the future through the Primary School Library Alliance which aims to transform and equip 1,000 primary school libraries by 2025, helping to create a new generation of readers who are better equipped to fulfil their potential.
