Bidding is open for Card to the Bard, our exciting charity auction to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death.
Over 40 unique postcards are up for grabs, designed by famous actors, authors and artists including Antony Gormley, Julie Walters, Axel Scheffler and Simon Callow. Inspired by Shakespeare, the signed postcards include drawings, messages and cartoons.
The unique collection also includes artwork from the Children’s Laureate Chris Riddell and cartoonist Banx, as well as authors Terry Deary, Joanne Harris, Marcia Williams and Victoria Hislop.
The Card to the Bard auction is open until 19:30 on Wednesday 5 October. All proceeds raised will support the National Literacy Trust’s work to transform the lives of young people in the most disadvantaged communities by equipping with them the reading, writing, speaking and listening skills they need to succeed.
