Today is the publication day of author Tom Percival's middle-grade book The Wrong Shoes and we are thrilled to announce we are working in partnership with Simon & Schuster Children's Books and Tom Percival.
£1 from every copy sold of The Wrong Shoes by Tom Percival will be donated to support our work in disadvantaged communities across the UK.
In his new novel Tom Percival – award-winning author-illustrator of the beloved Big Bright Feelings series – tells the heart-warming story of a boy called Will, a talented artist preoccupied by his family's financial situation who finds solace, joy and hope in creativity and friendship.
We are delighted that the sales of this wonderful book will help to champion our work with children and young people in areas with the highest literacy needs.
Simon & Schuster are also making a generous donation of 15,000 diverse books for a variety of ages across our hub communities.
We have also today announced that Tom Percival is now one of our amazing ambassadors, going above and beyond to support our work.
Tom has given his time to host school events in many of our Literacy Hubs and is a valued supporter of our Libraries for Primaries campaign to ensure all children have access to books and the benefits of reading for enjoyment.
