Explore Haunted Birmingham: a city filled with spooky stories.
Since 2023, we've asked young people and adults across Birmingham to contribute to Haunted Birmingham and write scary stories set somewhere in our wonderful but often and often eerie city. We received submissions of stories set all over Birmingham: from Kingstanding to King’s Norton, Aston Hall to Khan’s Fish Bar. Writers imagined nightmarish versions of local heritage sites, schools, parks, restaurants and more, proving how writing has the power to connect us to this city and to each other.
Use our interactive map to explore all of the Haunted Birmingham stories (now at a whopping 460 stories) and the places in which they are scarily set. But tread carefully – who knows what ghostly creatures you will find along the way!
