Course content
Join acclaimed spoken-word artist and award-winning poet and writer Steven Camden - aka Polarbear - for a hands-on workshop, which draws on his own practice of using collaborative talk as a stimulus for creative writing.
- Explores student-led approaches to develop voice and storytelling
- Examines the importance of modelling and collaboration in the creative writing process
- Demonstrates a practical process for generating ideas, finding a voice, and drafting and refining ideas
Participants will need a pen and notebook and should be prepared for a hands-on, practical experience in which they will reflect on their own writing in order to develop students’ creative writing. Each participant should have a working camera and microphone and be ready to participate fully in discussions.
