Help KS4 students develop writing skills for the GCSE English exam by implementing a range of practical strategies. An ideal session to support any scheduled GCSE revision classes. These focused, accessible strategies will help your students prepare for the descriptive and narrative writing exam question.

Who should attend
This highly-interactive workshop is delivered by Booker-nominated author, Wyl Menmuir. It is suitable for English teachers, who would like to develop their confidence and understanding of how to teach narrative and descriptive writing .Participants will need a pen and notebook and should be prepared for a hands-on, practical experience in which they will reflect on their own writing process, in order to develop students’ creative writing.

- What is involved in creative writing processes
- Strategies to develop practical approaches for the teaching of creative writing with students in Key Stages 3 and 4
- Ideas to embed creative writing processes into regular classroom practice

To participate fully in a session, you will need a working microphone and camera, notepaper and a pen. Please note, sessions are not recorded.
