The Manchester Marathon is the UK's second largest marathon and an iconic event drawing participants from all over the world to the vibrant streets of Greater Manchester.

From superb elite runners, to those who thought completing a marathon would never be possible, all are welcome for this 26.2 mile challenge. Many regular runners find this the ideal event to get a personal best time, whilst everybody finds the incredible Mancunian support provides excellent motivation throughout the race.
How will my fundraising help?
£25 Could allow a child who has a tough start in life to choose and keep three new books at inspirational reading and storytelling events.
£50 could help train a volunteer to give parents/carers with low levels of confidence the skills to help develop their child’s literacy, language and communication skills.
£100 or more could contribute towards our work in areas of the UK where low literacy and poverty are having the most serious impact on children’s and families’ lives, helping us to reach those who need us most, supporting literacy in the community, in school and at home.
£300 could inspire a class of children to read for pleasure through a 10-week motivational programme working with the Premier League.
