Please note the National Literacy Trust in Swindon ‘Teddy’s Day Out’ giveaway inspired by our Chat, Play, Read interactive activity booklets is open until Wednesday 21 August 2024.

How to enter the giveaway

Enter our competition via the National Literacy Trust in Swindon Facebook channel. Like and comment on any ‘Teddy’s Day Out’ giveaway posts, with your suggestions for a teddy’s imaginary day out in Swindon.

The competition closes on Wednesday 21 August at 17.00.

Giveaway terms and conditions

The promoter is: The National Literacy Trust, a company registered under the laws of England and Wales whose registered address is 68 South Lambeth Road, London, SW8 1RL.

The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 years or over. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are via this page.

Multiple entries to the giveaway are accepted; entrants may comment on any giveaway post. Closing date for entry will be 17.00 on Wednesday 21 August. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

The prize

The prize is as follows: a summer activity bundle including

  • Outdoor chalks: 6.9 x. 9.8 x 8.8cm.
  • Teddy bear: 22 x 25 x 50cm.
  • 10 piece set of finger puppets: 7 x 3 cm.
  • Play-Doh set with 6 colours: 0.4kg.
  • Board book ‘Summer’: 19.8 x 1 x 19.8cm, 12 pages.
  • Messy play kit: 10.2 x 17.8 x 22.9 cm.

The prize is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize is not transferable. A winner will be chosen at random by the National Literacy Trust. The winner will be notified via direct message from the National Literacy Trust in Swindon’s Facebook account within 28 days of the closing date. The winner will only ever be contacted by the National Literacy Trust via its official social media channels. If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement. The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The winner agrees to their name being used in any publicity material as well as their entry. Any personal data relating to the winner, or any other entrants that is communicated to National Literacy Trust via Direct Message will be used solely for the purposes of communicating with the winner and will not be shared with third parties without the entrant’s prior written consent. In all cases any personal data shared with the National Literacy Trust shall be used in accordance with current UK Data Protection legislation.
