Get Suffolk Reading celebrate early years workers with local illustrator Polly Dunbar

17 Sep 2021

The Hug - GSR

Get Suffolk Reading have teamed up with author Eoin McLaughlin and Suffolk’s very own local illustrator, Polly Dunbar, to celebrate the incredible effort of early years workers since lockdown.

Families in Suffolk are invited to nominate an early years worker who has gone above and beyond for their children since the first lockdown. Those nominated have the chance to win prizes including book vouchers, signed copies of Eoin McLaughlin and Polly Dunbar’s latest book, The Longer the Wait, the Bigger the Hug, and an exclusive visit from Polly Dunbar to their early years setting.

Anyone in Suffolk can nominate an early year’s worker. Nominations can be made by commenting on Polly’s video on the Get Suffolk Reading Facebook page, or by emailing getsuffolkreading@literacytrust.org.uk. Entries close on the 4 October at midday.

Families can also hear an exclusive storytelling session from Eoin McLaughlin and take part in an illustration workshop from Polly Dunbar on the website http://getsuffolkreading.org.uk/
