How to get involved

Thank you for signing up to stay in the know with Salford's Happy Facts. Here you'll find videos, worksheets, and information about key upcoming events to help you and your class discover the fun and interesting facts important to the children of Salford.

Happy Days with Emily Coxhead

The wonderful Emily Coxhead, author of Happy Days: 365 Facts to Brighten Every Day of the Year, founder of The Happy Newspaper, and inspiration behind Salford's Happy Facts, has recorded two short videos to help prompt discussion in your class around their hobbies and interests, as well as fact-finding!

Could you share our campaign with parents and carers?

We'd love if you could support our work within Salford's communities by sharing the Salford's Happy Facts campaign within your school newsletter. We know that the home learning environment is just as important as the work happening in school - so we are providing tips and advice on our Salford Facebook page for parents to try at home with their children. From encouraging trips to the library, to exploring the neighbourhood in a quest for Happy Facts, there's lots that families can do to get involved too.

We've drafted a template article which you may like to include in your newsletter - but please feel free to edit this as needed for your school.
