Salford

In Salford, we work directly with communities, schools, and early years settings to spread a love of storytelling across the city and equip families with the literacy skills they need to succeed in life.
Higher literacy levels can improve a child's success at school, their job opportunities in adult life, their mental and physical health, and even their life expectancy.
If you would like to get involved, please email salford@literacytrust.org.uk
Salford's Happy Facts
We are looking to uncover the subjects which matter most to children in Salford, using non fiction books to boost reading for pleasure, as we celebrate the people, places, and cultural heritage of the city.

School Transition
Transitioning from primary to secondary school is a huge milestone for pupils, and our aim is to ensure they have the literacy skills they need to confidently adapt to a new environment and way of learning. We have created a set of resources which are available for FREE to all Salford schools.
