Extreme Readers - what is it?

Reading in weird and wonderful places to engage children with books and spread a love for storytelling across the local area. You can do anything from hanging upside down, showing off your best football tricks or reading-on-wheels (as demonstrated by our Campaigns Officer Hannah!)... as long as you do it whilst reading. Please remember to be careful and don't do anything that breaches social distancing rules.

How do I take part?

That's easy! Simply take a photo of yourself (or make a video if you like) reading in an unlikely location and send it us at hannah.riley@literacytrust.org.uk by Monday 4 January 2021. Alternatively, you can send your entry via our Facebook page.

What's in it for me?

Not only will you be promoting a love for reading in the local community, but you could win prizes too! The winning photo or video will be transformed by local illustrator Simon Whittaker and you'll also be sent a stack of books too - a wonderfully creative start to the new year!
