On Monday 5th July, the Hungry Little Minds story trail in Platt Fields Park will be launched.
It is a printed trail map for families to follow an enchanting story about elves around five landmarks within Platt Fields Park, written by children’s author Rebecca Lewis-Oakes and illustrated by Aaron Cushley. The trail is funded by DfE for Hungry Little Minds to support families in chatting reading and playing with children aged 0-5; this particular story trail is aimed at children aged 2-5, however babies and toddlers would still really enjoy the walk and outdoor space if they are attending with older siblings!
- The trail will run every day from Monday 5th July throughout the summer and families will be encouraged to pick up their trail map from starting point, The Lakeside Centre and complete the trail around the park independently. All are welcome!
- Along the way, there will be a little elf garden at The Archway point for children to spot magical elves.
- On certain days, there will also be elf making creative sessions to do at Point 1, The Lakeside Centre
