The Black Country

A person dressed in a red cape is holding a book titled "Wolves Will Be Wolves" in front of a banner for the Black Country National Literacy Trust. The background includes artwork of a shoe labelled "Cinders" and other decorations.

The National Literacy Trust has been working across the Black Country since 2019 and have worked with thousands of children to improve their literacy outcomes and inspire a love of reading in children and families.

With a local team on the ground, we work in partnership with schools, community organisations, and local businesses to promote reading for pleasure across the four local authorities.

From book-gifting and early years programmes to storytelling events and creative projects, we deliver fun, inclusive and impactful initiatives that respond directly to the literacy needs across the Black Country.

If you would like to get involved please email blackcountry@literacytrust.org.uk.
