Barbara Taylor Bradford was one of the world's most loved authors, selling more than 91 million books to date. She was also a passionate advocate for improving literacy skills throughout her life.
The National Literacy Trust is incredibly proud that Barbara served as an ambassador for our work for over a decade. She helped change lives in some of the UK's most disadvantaged communities, with HM Queen Elizabeth II awarding her an OBE for services to literature in 2007.
