This popular half marathon sees runners take on generous, closed roads across the towns of Old Trafford, Stretford and Brooklands, with the promise of great support and an abundance of entertainment en route.
The Manchester Half Marathon hosts a very flat course, perfect for smashing personal bests but also the ideal route for those new to half marathons and charity runners. There is a lovely 2-mile flat finish that brings you to the conclusion of the event at Emirates Old Trafford Lancashire County Cricket Club.
How will my fundraising help?
£25 Could allow a child who has a tough start in life to choose and keep three new books at inspirational reading and storytelling events.
£50 could help train a volunteer to give parents/carers with low levels of confidence the skills to help develop their child’s literacy, language and communication skills.
£100 or more could contribute towards our work in areas of the UK where low literacy and poverty are having the most serious impact on children’s and families’ lives, helping us to reach those who need us most, supporting literacy in the community, in school and at home.
£300 could inspire a class of children to read for pleasure through a 10-week motivational programme working with the Premier League.
