Venessa Taylor

Venessa is a no 1 best selling author and winner of The People’s Book Prize for Children’s Literature 2021.

Her book BallerBoys was included in the most recent Children in needs, children in read.

Venessa is a qualified primary school teacher with over twenty years classroom experience, most recently as an assistant headteacher with the responsibility for English and raising the attainment of reading across the school.

Venessa enjoys her time visiting schools and libraries sharing her book and richly diverse characters with children.

A typical visit would consist of a Q and A, a reading, role play and a writing activity , all accessible to all children.

Writing and photos from the workshops are often used to create displays.

Powerpoints and resources are always delivered to the venue ahead of all workshops.

I am flexible where budgets are tight, but typically:

• Up to 1 hour virtual visit - £75.
• Up to 1 hour - £100
• 3 hours - £250 - including two copies of BallerBoys
• 8 hours ( full school day) £475 - including six copies of BallerBoys

Schools can pre-order or purchase books for £6.50 on the day.

I am based in London but happy to travel. Petrol/ travel (Unless local) and parking costs in addition plus any accommodation costs if further than 90 minutes travel.

Happy to share the cost for my travel between two local schools, if visiting over one or two days.
