‘Soundtrack your story’: a storytelling project with Annemarie Anang
Supported by Amazon, we have created a fun, interactive storytelling project for National Storytelling Week with musician and author Annemarie Anang, for pupils aged 5 to 7 (KS1/P2-3). Based on the theme ‘Soundtrack your story’, the project is designed to inspire a love of story creation through music and rhythm.
The week began with a free, live storytelling workshop with Annemarie on Tuesday 3 February 2026, now available as a recording to watch on-demand.
The workshop acts as an exciting springboard for the classroom activities providing inspiration for pupils’ stories. Watch the recording below.
Key Stage 1 (P2-P3) classroom resources
Our National Storytelling Week teacher resource pack for Key stage one, provides a flexible menu of activities to support your pupils to create their own musical stories, inspired by picturebook I am Neferftiti by Annemarie Anang and illustrated by Natelle Quek.
We also have family resources for children to complete at home.
