What are Little Moments Together cards?
The Little Moments Together cards are a free resource designed to support parents and carers of 0-2-year-olds to talk more with their children during day-to-day activities.
The cards include:
- Tips to help parents support their child to communicate.
- Examples of things parents could say to their child as they go about their day.
- Explanations to support parents to understand the importance of talking to their child.
There are two versions of the cards, one with a guide age range of 0-9 months and another for 10-24 months. Each are available to download in an additional 18 languages.
In addition, we've developed practitioner guidance with insights on how the cards benefit interactions, and including inspiration and suggestions for how you can build their use into your practice.
You can also direct families to view and download digital versions of the cards on wordsforlife.org.uk.
This resource has been produced by the National Literacy Trust to support the Start for Life campaign and aims to increase the frequency and quality of interactions between parent or carer and child.
