Hot topic: Spooky stories and bonfire tales

“When witches go riding and black cats are seen,/The moon laughs and whispers ‘Tis near Halloween.'”

At the end of October, when dark evenings are creeping in and an autumnal feeling is in the air, thoughts turn to Halloween and Bonfire Night. Children love all things spooky and gruesome; what better opportunity to share stories around the bonfire and encourage children to write their own spooktacular tales?
