Primary conference attendees - get a 10% discount on UKLA ebooks
To celebrate the UKLA's involvement with our primary conference, Everyone back to school: literacy by stealth , as Cathy Burnett - their president - speaks at the opening afternoon, we're offering attendees 10% off UKLA ebooks. As pupils return to the classroom, the conference, taking place from 9 - 13 March, will explore the ways in which popular culture can enhance learning and help transcend barriers between home and school.
Various titles published by the UKLA reflect the theme of how to utilize elements of popular culture and children's interests to raise literacy levels, including Power-up Literacy: technology and multimodality within the extended classroom and I know what to write now! - Engaging Boys (& Girls) through a Multimodal Approach. Collectively their publications align with our belief in the importance of upskilling of teachers and a focus on disciplinary literacy.
