Swindon Stories was delighted to attend the launch of Naturehood, a Heritage Lottery funded project hopes to reverse the decline in British wildlife by encouraging communities to create their own urban nature reserves. Swindon Stories is delighted to be supporting their initiative by continuing the work inspired by the Lost Words book by Robert Macfarlane and Jackie Morris.
Swindon Stories gave away over 60 books and Word Walks packs. A Word Walk is an outdoor trail for families and settings which combines reading with exploring the landscape. This booklet has been designed so parents and settings can use pictures or words as checkpoints along the trail to inspire conversations and activities.
