Teachers of pupils aged 9 to 13 (Upper Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3) can sign up to our Remembrance Assembly, bringing your students together with others from across the UK on 11 November between 10.30am and 11.05am.
About the Remembrance Assembly
Join the Royal British Legion and the National Literacy Trust in a thought-provoking and reflective assembly, inspiring pupils to explore and take part in Remembrance.
This event will bring together art, music, poetry, veteran interviews and more to create a unique experience helping students understand who, how and why we continue to remember.
The Remembrance Assembly will be hosted by JJ Chalmers, along with special guests, and is suitable for ages 9 to 13 (pupils from Years 5, 6, 7 and 8, or P6-7, S1-2).
It is part of our suite of support for schools during this time, including downloadable Remembrance teaching resources.
The event is designed to allow students to participate during the morning of Tuesday 11 November 2025 at 10.30am, finishing at 11.05am, and including the Two-Minute Silence to mark the Armistice.
However, if you are not sure you can join at 10.30am, please sign up for access details and you will be able to access a recording to watch later on that day, or during that week.
