Go All In Together! event: The Never-Ending Comic: Draw What Happens Next

Join us for a free interactive, online event where pupils discover that comics are one of the oldest and most powerful ways to tell a story. Together, schools across the country will build one giant comic that never ends. For KS2 / P4-P7 and lower KS3/S1-S3 (8-14 years).

About the event

In partnership with Beano, this National Year of Reading 2026, pupils are being invited to create something extraordinary: a comic story so big that no single writer, illustrator or classroom can finish it alone. Together, they'll build The Never-Ending Comic.

With more than 85 years of storytelling mischief behind them, Beano invites pupils to join us for this Go All In Together! moment and become part of an exciting adventure. This nationwide comic will begin in Dundee and grow with every panel, page and idea shared by schools across the country. Along the way, comic star Chanté Timothy will be on hand throughout to help pupils build their characters and shape their stories.

Comics are not a new shortcut; they are one of the oldest story powers we have. From cave paintings and hieroglyphics to tapestries, graphic novels and comics, humans have always told stories in pictures. This is just the latest chapter, and your pupils get to write it.

Who's it for?

This event is aimed at, but not exclusive to, KS2/P4-P7 and lower KS3/S1-S3 pupils (8-14 years).

What to expect during the event

Beano's Director of Mischief and Director of Mayhem have teamed up with comic star Chanté Timothy to help your pupils complete a mission.

This mission is simple: read a comic, borrow a trick, add a WHIFF, and draw what happens next.

A WHIFF is just a What Happens If: the question that starts every story.

Messy drawings? Amazing. Quick gags? Even better. Imperfect ideas? Always welcome. Because every contribution counts and, by the end, every pupil gets to make the pledge:
