This course is designed to equip maths teachers and subject leaders with the skills to develop literacy for learning mathematics in the classroom.

This online training involves two 90-minute sessions

Part 1: Monday 9 November 2026 15:30–17:00

Part 2: Monday 16 November 2026 15:30–17:00

Who should attend?

This two-part course explores the role of literacy in the secondary mathematics curriculum, and how to promote ways of developing talk, reading and writing in this subject. It is suitable for subject leaders and teachers, who are new to, or developing their understanding of disciplinary literacy in mathematics.
