Giveaway terms and conditions

The promoter is: The National Literacy Trust, a company registered under the laws of England and Wales whose registered address is 68 South Lambeth Road, London, SW8 1RL.

The competition is open to residents of Swindon aged 18 years or over. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. Route to entry for the competition and details of how to enter are via this page.

Multiple entries to the competition are not accepted. Closing date for entry will be 11.59pm on Monday 15 December 2025. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.

The prize

The prize is as follows.

A family ticket (for four people) to see The Very Hungry Caterpillar show at Wyvern Theatre (Theatre Square, Swindon, SN1 1QN) on Saturday 28 February 2026 at 11am.

Please note: the family ticket includes four standard tickets; this could include for example, two adults and two children, three adults and one child or one adult and three children.

The performance is recommended for children aged 1 year+ but suitable for all ages.

Additional terms and conditions

  • To be eligible to be included in the random prize draw, entrants must live in Swindon (UK) and sign up to the National Literacy Trust’s early years newsletter between 1–15 December 2025.
  • The competition is open to individuals aged 18 years or over.
  • The prizes are as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. You must be able to attend the show at the advertised date and time.
  • The prizes are not transferable.
  • Winner will be chosen at random by the National Literacy Trust.
  • The winner will be announced in a post on the National Literacy Trust in Swindon Facebook page within 28 days of the closing date.
  • The winner will only ever be contacted by official National Literacy Trust channels.
  • If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim their prize within 14 days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement.
  • The promoter will notify the winner of how their prize tickets can be collected.
  • The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  • The winner agrees to their name being used in any publicity material as well as their entry.

The use of your personal data

  • Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants that is communicated to National Literacy Trust via Direct Message will be used solely for the purposes of communicating with the winner and to enable collection of the tickets from the theatre.
  • In all cases any personal data shared with the National Literacy Trust shall be processed in accordance with current UK Data Protection legislation.
