I'm a London-based children's author of picture books, chapter books and short, page-turning middle grade novels, including the UK/US bestselling time travel mystery adventure, The Secret Lake.

Teachers, librarians and reading charities have praised my stories for getting the most reluctant of readers turning the pages, which warms my heart! Several schools have also written to tell me that they are using The Secret Lake for guided reading.

I love going into schools, where I offer engaging, interactive talks/presentations, readings and/or writing workshops across all year groups from Reception to Year 6. See the 'School Visits' page on my website for more info or email me to ask for a school visits information pack.

Visits can be tailored to your particular needs and I'm happy to see individual classes or much larger groups.

I am flexible where budgets are tight but typically:

• £375-£450 full day
• £200-£275 half day

(Depending on visit format and number of sessions.)

• £75 per hour for local visits at single sessions.

Petrol (unless local) and parking costs in addition, plus any accommodation costs if more than 90 minutes' travel.

I am very happy to double up with two schools over one or two days to share costs when travelling farther afield.
