We share an example of how whole-school reading posters can be successful in getting staff and students talking.
Literacy lead at Eggbuckland Community College, Caroline Grant wanted to promote reading across the school; engage students with books that would support their subject-area interests and
spark conversations about reading for pleasure.
This resource outlines:
- How the posters were designed to encourage students to discover
new books
- How the posters prompted dialogue between students and staff, embedding
discussion and reading for enjoyment within everyday school life
- Example posters to inspire your own adapted
versions
