Support staff to teach the vocabulary skills specific to their subject area with our downloadable presentation aimed at secondary practitioners and with a particular focus on maths. The presentation is designed to be used in a staff meeting or whole school INSET with staff from across the curriculum. It first introduces some theoretical knowledge about vocabulary size and frequency and then covers some generic teaching and learning strategies for subject teachers to try. There are links to some additional training materials for maths departments.
