A mini-toolkit for primary practitioners to help them develop their knowledge of reading and strategies for teaching active reading. The presentation provides information about the different types of reading and example DARTs (directed activities related to texts) to support students with these types of reading in the classroom. There is also a self-reflection tool to help teachers reflect on how they support reading in class, drawing on the best practice, experts and research.
