Use this presentation to support and train subject staff about how to embed grammar teaching across the secondary curriculum.
The presentation opens with a look at what is now happening at Key Stage 2, giving teachers an opportunity to review their own grammatical knowledge. Plus it takes a look at what Years 6s are currently learning.
The second part of the presentation has a subject specific focus on history and provides a demonstration of the grammar features of a chronological historical report. There are examples of further resources and reading material for history teachers who want to develop their grammar knowledge and teaching of writing. In addition and included as separate downloads, are a list of our grammar resources, along with a grammar audit for staff.
The downloadable presentation is designed to be used by literacy leaders in a staff meeting or whole school INSET with staff from across the curriculum.
