In September 2018, the National Literacy Trust launched its Words for Work: Women in Leadership programme, in partnership with Lancôme and their global Write Her Future literacy initiative, to challenge inequalities in employment opportunities for young women from disadvantaged communities in post-16 education.
This report provides a summary of the programme and its impact on participants’ literacy skills, leadership abilities and preparedness for work in the 2018/19 academic year.
