This report outlines findings from an independent evaluation of Premier League Reading Stars (PLRS) by Coventry University. This evaluation focuses on activities delivered in Wales between September 2015 and July 2016 and findings are based on attitudinal data for 159 pupils and standardised assessment for 160 pupils aged 9 to 13.
The report shows that children who took part in PLRS Cymru (PLRSC) showed significantly greater improvement in standardised reading scores, reading enjoyment and reading motivation compared to children who did not.
