Your Instant Library

The National Literacy Trust and KPMG are working in partnership for the Reading the Future campaign. The initiative celebrates the firm’s 150th anniversary and marks its longstanding commitment to transforming communities through literacy, education and skills.

Here you can find lots of engaging and entertaining reading and writing activities, linked to the 30 titles you received in your Instant Library.

We were delighted to present your school with an Instant Library, along with a 12 month National Literacy Trust membership, which will support the hard work you are already doing to help every child fall in love with reading.

Our ambassadors

This initiative is supported a trio of bestselling and award-winning children’s authors and illustrators: Sam Copeland (Charlie Changes into a Chicken), and Nathan Bryon and Dapo Adeola (Look Up!) Their hugely popular titles are included in every Instant Library.

When schools reopen and social distancing measures allow, the trio will also visit a selection of lucky schools to bring stories to life and inspire children to fall in love with reading, writing and drawing.

"We’re both very excited to be ambassadors for the National Literacy Trust and KPMG’s Instant Libraries initiative. Our debut picture book ‘Look Up!’ has not only taken us all over the country to many homes, schools and libraries, but it has also connected us to these spaces all around the globe. A connection which has cemented for us the importance of both written and visual narratives as tools that help inspire, enrich and bring people together. It is our joy to carry this message with us wherever we go throughout our careers as storytellers."

Nathan Bryon and Dapo Adeola

"With the whole country stuck at home in lockdown, being able to travel to different, exciting, wonderful or bonkers worlds through the power of stories has been brilliant. But we know there are thousands of children all over the country who don’t have easy access to these life changing and life affirming tales. That’s why I’m really proud to be an ambassador for the National Literacy Trust and KPMG’s Instant Libraries initiative and I can’t wait to get out to see the libraries in action and chat to the kids enjoying their new adventures this Autumn."
